Net beans (6.5.1) preferred

There are two ways to do it either step 1 or step 2:

Step1: Terminal

Open a terminal and use

sudo apt-get install netbeans

Netbeans and the dependancies will be installed for you. It should automatically install openjdk 7.0.1 as a dependancy so you don't need to do anything else.

Once the install finished you should be able to run netbeans by pressing [SUPER] and typing netbeans.

Step2: Software Manager

Press [SUPER] and type software

Type netbeans in the search box and press enter select netbeans from the list and click the install button .
